Katelyn's wish to meet the Penn State cheerleaders came true! As a Four Diamonds child she was able to meet some of the girls through THON's association with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The Make-a-Wish Athlete Hour was held in the South Gym of Rec Hall on Saturday afternoon. Crawling around the gym in my uniform must have been quite entertaining to watch had anyone been paying attention to the cheerleader with the camera. Apparently Katelyn's mom had been watching and asked if I could send her all of the pictures I was taking of her daughter. Katelyn was one of the most beautiful, kind and eloquent people I had ever met so naturally, that request absolutely made my day.
